Our Mission

The mission of Prevent A Litter Veterinary Hospital is to eliminate the killing of healthy, otherwise adoptable companion animals simply because they are surplus and cannot be placed in loving homes.  P.A.L. plans to accomplish this goal by providing high quality, affordable, and accessible spay/neuter services to the public without regard to income or geography.

Hospital Profile

Prevent A Litter Veterinary Hospital is a non-profit, fully licensed facility whose mission is to help end pet overpopulation through affordable spay/neuter services.

Our doctors are licensed, skilled professionals who work with a fully trained, experienced medical team dedicated to providing the highest quality care.  Services are limited to spay/neuter.  Although they are not required, we do offer vaccinations, Heartworm tests and FeLV/FIV combination tests in conjunction with the surgery.  These services are offered in an effort to make pet owners aware of additional necessary preventative care measures.  We do encourage you to establish a relationship with a full service animal healthcare provider.

Since opening in April 1999, P.A.L. has performed in excess of 65,000 surgeries, preventing millions of births of unwanted animals that might otherwise be put to death in shelters.  Others would be abandoned to the streets, suffering from cold and hunger while spreading disease and adding to the City's already staggering number of stray and feral animals.

We provide a more practical and caring solution.  Help us put an end to their suffering.   Since we are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, consider making a tax-deductible donation that will be directly utilized to spay or neuter a dog or cat.

Your generous gift and support will prevent more unwanted animals from being born, while keeping more good homes available to those that are already waiting!  With your donation, you are a part of what we do to help animals.
